About
Monica Vriens (1952) is strongly inspired by the special visual details which are present in seemingly normal and natural facets of our environment. In her work, she aims at reaching a balance between naturalism and imagination. She sets high standards for her work in terms of composition, choice of color and persuasiveness. Although she cannot be easily pushed into a particular style, her signature is unmistakable: Her style is determined by her temperament dictating the choice of subject and color. She works mainly with acrylic paint and aquarels.
